Review Teletubbies - Busy Day / 2 Entertain Video:In Teletubbies, Busy Day Tinky Winky, Dipsy, Laa Laa and Po giggle and romp their way through a day filled with Tubby toast, laughter and play. This video has the usual Tubby mix of music, repetition and movement, designed to stimulate children's imaginations, promote speech and increase confidence. Our young reviewers needed little encouragement to join in with the action on screen and when the voice trumpet called out parts of the body for the Tubbies to wash, they had plenty of time to think of the answer, shout it at the screen and perform the actions. All the familiar features of the series are here: reliable Noo-noo who cleans up when Po encounters difficulty with the Tubby custard machine, the gurgling sun and lots and lots of rabbits; and when the magic windmill turns, real children are shown having a busy day too, cleaning their teeth, going for a walk and getting ready for bed. Review Tweenies - Music Is Pop-A-Rooney [1999] / 2 Entertain Video:The fab four are put through their pop paces in Tweenies-Music is Pop-a-rooney. Bella, Jake, Milo and Fizz perform a selection of favourite songs including their hit singles "No. 1", "Lollipop" and "Best Friends Forever" in front of an appreciative young audience in this Top of the Pops special. Even Max gets in on the act, reminiscing about the good old days when the likes of Led Zeppelin and Deep Purple played "proper music with tunes". The original music videos for the three singles are included as bonus footage, which adds a new dimension but it may have been better value if these songs had not been among the selection already performed in the studio, given that the video's total running time is only 34 minutes. However, young fans may appreciate the chance to learn the lyrics afforded by the repetition and are likely to play them over and over again anyway!-Helen Baker.

Review Bob The Builder - A Christmas To Remember [1999] / Hit Entertainment:Bob the Builder's first full-length adventure, A Christmas to Remember, is a festive extravaganza boasting an all-star cast, including Elton John and Noddy Holder. Bob's twin brother Tom, a zoologist, (voiced by Stephen Tompkinson) is coming home from the Artic for the festivities and Bob's planning the perfect Christmas. But there are so many things to do first and Bob will have to work his little yellow hardhat off if he's to get everything done in time: there's the tree to fetch, the lights to put up in the town square, not to mention the stage to build for Lennie and the Lazers' free concert on Christmas Eve. Fortunately, Bob has all his usual friends to help as well as an extra pair of hands in the form of the loveable Banger (Noddy Holder), roadie to the band-unfortunately, he also has Spud-but when news comes that Tom has been unavoidably delayed, it begins to look as though Bob won't be having a perfect Christmas after all. Meanwhile all is not well within the band: Lennie (Chris Evans) is losing his voice and John (Elton John) is having trouble finishing his new song. Luckily, Roley is on hand to help the creative process along and even suggests a jazzier stage name when it seems that John will have to sing in Lennie's place at the gig. A Christmas to Remember is priceless festive entertainment for adults and children alike: Noddy Holder, whose stage characteristics are perfectly transferred to his diminutive screen persona, complete with Doc Martens and a stovepipe hat, puts in a bravura performance as Banger-while Elton John underplays beautifully right up to, but certainly not including, the rousing grand finale.
